Key Responsibilities of the Travel Sterile Processing Technician: - Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment
- Operate sterilizers, washers, and other processing equipment according to established protocols
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization loads, biological indicators, and equipment maintenance
- Distribute sterile instruments and supplies to operating rooms and other clinical departments
- Ensure compliance with infection control standards and regulatory guidelines
- Identify and report damaged or malfunctioning instruments and equipment
- Manage inventory levels and assist with restocking sterile supply areas
- Collaborate with surgical and nursing staff to support daily case flow and equipment needs
Requirements of the Travel Sterile Processing Technician: - Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or equivalent certification preferred
- 1.5+ years experience accepted if tertiary experience; 2+ years experience if not
