Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology Infusion / Chemo Certified

Location: Orange, California

Shift: Day Shift - 4x10-Hour Shifts

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) with active Chemotherapy Certification to join a high-performing outpatient infusion team in Orange, California. This role focuses primarily on oncology-based infusion therapies while supporting a variety of infusion treatments in a collaborative acute care environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong outpatient oncology infusion experience, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to provide compassionate patient-centered care in a fast-paced infusion setting.
Key Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and oncology infusion therapies safely and accurately
• Provide infusion treatments including:
  • Oncology-based therapies
  • Blood transfusions
  • IVIG treatments
  • Hydration therapy
  • Iron infusions
• Monitor patients before, during, and after infusion treatments
• Assess and manage infusion-related reactions and patient responses
• Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and side effect management
• Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record system
• Ensure compliance with oncology safety standards and infusion protocols
• Float to similar units as needed based on operational requirements

Requirements

• Active RN License required
• Current BLS Certification required
• Active Chemotherapy Certification required
• Outpatient Oncology Infusion experience required
• Minimum 1-2 years of Oncology RN experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted only with:
  • Active Chemo Certification
  • 2+ years of Oncology experience
• Strong IV therapy and infusion nursing skills
• Epic EMR experience preferred
