Host Position At Fatboiz

Fatboiz is looking for a hard-working, energetic, friendly host to join our close knit restaurant family. You will greet guests and show them to their table as well as process to go orders. To do well in this role it is imperative that you are comfortable standing for long periods of time and are flexible to meet the needs of not only our guests, but your peers as well. We are a small mom and pop establishment where every position's output collectively creates a genuine, fulfilling experience that brings our guests back again and again and leaves our employees fulfilled as well. The hostess is the first person to engage the customers whether on the phone or in person. Your interaction with them could be the difference between a guest becoming a regular fixture in our establishment and them choosing not to make Fatboiz their go to for fresh, hot food, friendly staff, and an overall great atmosphere.

Responsibilities

1. Greeting guests as they enter, and putting them on a waiting list as necessary
2. Providing guests with menus and answering initial questions
3. Seating guests at tables, while keeping in mind the server rotation so seating counts are similar
4. Answering all phone calls making sure to take accurate and complete messages to pass on to manager regarding various issues
5. Responding to guests concerns and taking the initiative when appropriate taking action to solve them
6. Menu knowledge
7. Helping out with other positions in the restaurant as necessary
8. Providing great customer service
9. Additional responsibilities as given by supervisor or manager
10. Light cleaning/organizing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff
• Able to do high-quality work consistently, even when unsupervised
• Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if needed
• Able to handle money accurately and operate POS system
• Ability to provide top-notch customer service in a fast-paced environment
