Job Description

Prominent international law firm seeks a senior analyst in their client credit analysis function.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days per week in midtown Manhattan

The Senior Analyst supports attorneys and firm leadership by researching, analyzing, and advising on client-related credit matters. This role ensures that origination and related credits are applied accurately and consistently, using firm systems, external research tools, and market data. The Senior Analyst also contributes to process improvements and works closely with cross-functional teams to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to attorneys and staff on credit-related questions and requests.
  • Research new and existing clients to identify ownership structures, related entities, and attorney relationships using internal systems and external databases.
  • Respond to credit inquiries, reporting requests, and submissions in accordance with firm policies.
  • Prepare and validate client and attorney information for credit submissions by reviewing financial history and attorney involvement.
  • Advise on partner performance metrics and key credit indicators.
  • Support credit review and approval processes, ensuring submissions are complete and accurate.
  • Assist with onboarding lateral partners by helping set up client credit appropriately.
  • Help deliver training and guidance on credit processes to administrative and legal support teams.
  • Represent the Credit team in meetings with other departments.
  • Manage credit needs for assigned offices, taking a proactive approach to balancing workload throughout the year.
  • Collaborate with related teams (e.g., Finance, Billing, Conflicts, New Business Intake) to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and enhance accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in analysis, research, finance, or professional services (law firm experience a plus)
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly with senior professionals
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Comfortable working with multiple data sources and systems

Salary 110k to 130k base DOE
