Music Royalty Label Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Music Royalty Label Supervisor to join our Encino, CA team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the preparation of label statements, manage royalty contracts and calculations, and lead a team dedicated to delivering accurate and timely royalty reporting for our music label clients.

What Will You Do:

• Prepare, review, and approve all label statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual obligations.
• Analyze and interpret royalty agreements/contracts, entering and maintaining data in royalty systems.
• Supervise and manage Royalty Department staff, assigning tasks and overseeing daily workflow.
• Drive process improvements to streamline statement generation and enhance department efficiency.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Account Managers, Partners, and other stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
• Conduct reviews of incoming statements and support audit processes, as needed.
• Lead or participate in special projects to support business objectives.

What Do You Need to Succeed:

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting/royalty experience in the music industry, including hands-on work with royalty contracts and calculations.
• Proficiency with at least one of the following or any other royalty system: Curve, Record Maestro, SR1, or Tone.
• Advanced Excel skills (including formulas, macros, pivot tables, and data transformation).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience supervising or mentoring staff.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work independently.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

Salary Range: The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $125,000 and represents the firm's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, and location.
