Overview Base pay range: $17.00/hr - $24.00/hr This role is with Sam’s Club and involves working in the meat department to support quality, packaging, and display of meat items for members. The position emphasizes customer service, attention to detail, and teamwork on the front lines of the club experience. Responsibilities Be a Team Member: Collaborate with other associates, communicate with the team, and be flexible to work in other areas as needed. Be an Expert: Demonstrate knowledge of floor operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and meat preparation procedures (cutting, grinding, wrapping, trimming) to established standards; maintain product quality. Be a Techie: Use digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience; operate handheld technology to support production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them. Be an Owner: Maintain operational excellence; ensure area cleanliness, quality and dating control for meat products; secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise; assist members with purchasing choices; ensure packaging, labeling, and storage comply with policy. Be a Talent Ambassador: Model high-quality service and products, engage with members, and demonstrate energy and commitment to the work. Complies with company policies, procedures, and ethics; apply related action plans, use the Open Door Policy, and integrate these in business processes. Complete work assignments by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and partners; set priorities and deadlines; communicate progress; identify and address opportunities for improvement. Follow safety, sanitation, and product quality standards and assist members with purchasing decisions; ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored.
