Provide a short description of the Position: Agency is looking to hire 1 Software Architect to work with staff for the purpose of analyzing, developing and testing for all aspects of the systems modernization initiatives. Government regulations drive these initiatives requiring overhaul of our legacy silo applications to bring them into current architecture methodologies with improvement to quality and governance of our enterprise master data.
Provide a list of the day to day tasks to be performed by the Selected Candidate: Based on a set of business requirements the Software Architect will be required to define the data requirements, write application specifications and design for the mainframe and .NET processing. Programs will be written in .NET and Cobol based on the design; the necessary JCL will be written as well. Unit testing for each module is required as well as writing test plans for the integration test.
