Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Office Manager to join our team at Adira at Riverside, a premier Skilled Nursing Facility in Yonkers, New York. As a key member of our business office team, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our facility, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private pay billing, collections, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage the business office operations, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of billing, accounts receivable, and collections
• Prepare and submit Medicare, Medicaid, and private pay claims, as well as managed care and MLTC billing
• Conduct daily census reporting and enter data into our electronic medical record system
• Post cash receipts, deposits, and maintain resident fund accounts and PNA ledgers
• Meet with families and residents to discuss financial considerations and distribute PNA funds
• Process medicaid applications and recertifications, and maintain facility petty cash
• Attend daily morning meeting, UR meetings, and participate in monthly aging meetings
• Communicate with attorneys on collection cases and sort/scanned mail for the finance department

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience managing a business office in a skilled nursing facility, with a focus on billing, A/R, and collections
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private pay billing practices
• Proficiency with computer software, including Word, Excel, and healthcare-related EMRs
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team
